What should I do? I’m new! Baltic Aquascaphe Arival
Well, my Baltic Aquascaphe finally arrived! I was a little disappointed however. When I first opened it, it wasn’t on the watch cushion, rather under it. Makes me wonder if I got a watch that was returned to them.
Also, after trying it on I found I can barely get the bracelet to close.😞I then decided to measure my wrist (I think I have a pretty average size wrist) and came out to about 7 1/4-7 1/2 inches. I played college football, so maybe I just have a skewed idea of what a normal wrist looks like🤷♂️. Anyone else have this problem? I have contacted Baltic and am awaiting their response. I have 14 days to return the watch if I have to. What would you do in my situation? P.S. I spent a little more because I love the beads of rice bracelet look. Can I purchase additional links?
That's an awful opening experience for an otherwise great looking watch. I know others where have had positive experiences with Baltic. As for your wrist, first congrats for having manly man wrists. I think 6.5" is pretty normal but I'm biased cause that's my size. Not sure about being able to buy extra links from Baltic. Getting an aftermarket beads of rice bracelet is probably your best bet.

They should indicate the bracelet length on their website, they list lug width and buckle witdh but not length...
I hope they offer you some alternative. Are you sure it's not a return and someone has removed some links?
I have a Citizen JDM model 38 mm and the bracelet is adjustable 130-205mm (they indicate it on their website). 19cm wrist is not that large.

Ask Baltic to send you additional links asap. I find most micros will do so happily. May take until Monday to hear back though.
In the meantime, if you want to give the watch a test run, order a quick release mesh on Amazon (see link below). It is serviceable and you can return it no questions asked. It should fit your wrist. The BOR bracelet does not seem right. I have that exact watch with the exact BOR bracelet purchased directly from Baltic. I have 7.5 inch wrists and had no problem with the bracelet fitting.
Sounds like you received a returned item where links were removed from the bracelet.
I would send it back and request a brand new replacement.

There's always the possibility that customs opened the package to inspect, and that's why the watch wasn't on the cushion? I've never had any issues whatsoever with Baltic - great service, great experiences.
Hopefully they can ship you an extra link or two. If not, consider going with straps or rubber. Personally, I find that watches are always more comfortable on straps rather than bracelet!
You’ve got pretty big wrists imo. Average is like 6.5”. In any case, I hope Baltic makes it right. Beautiful watch either way
Congrats on a great first watch, but yeah, that’s a bummer of an introduction to it. Hopefully Baltic can make it right. I just posted about Vaer correcting an issue for me. You hate to have to find out how a company’s customer service is, but if their service matches the quality of their product, you should be in good hands, which is always good to know. Be sure to let us know what you hear back from them!
Look under the warranty card on the bottom of the box. There might be extra links there.

On the bracelet buckle, there are a number of micro adjustment you can make to the overall bracelet length, with a springbar tool. Is this adjusted to the max length? Otherwise, agree a few extra links might help

Does the dial and case meet your expectations from photos? Any feedback on the looks? I'm tempted to get this as I like the aesthetic over the blancpain bathyscaphe, but not sure if I love the fauxtina. Is it more a deep creamy color or an overly aged yellowing orange?

Yeah, what I like about it is it doesn’t feel like a fauxtina, it just seems like a color choice that I like. As far as color, I don’t think the photos do it justice. The blue sun fade is awesome. I’m new to watches so the case was a bit smaller than I was expecting after seeing it on other wrists. I’m gutted that I’ll probably have to return it.

I can't think of a watch that shipped to me with a metal bracelet size that couldn't accommodate your wrist, or one significantly bigger. At 6.25-.5 myself, I typically have to remove most of the links on a given bracelet, usually 5-6 of 'em, to get a good fit. As others have noted, it seems possible that there were links removed before shipping. Unless...
I'm looking at the order page for the bracelet, and it shows three size options. Is it possible that you accidentally chose the wrong size? The default is "small," and it could be easy to miss in the excitement of finally buying your cool new watch.

No I took the plastic off as soon as I took it out! I put it back in to show how it came shipped. Also, after talking to Baltic, they confirmed it wasn’t a refurbished one! They said as far as the shipping, it could have been customs 🤷♂️. I’m new to watches so wasn’t sure to expect, so I thought I’d ask the community!
