I can feel it right into the core ..huge satisfaction !!.. after the restoration works & then to have this beautiful time piece on the wrist. Looks like a job well done....the LCD panel is very legible, every LCD segment is razor sharp & hopefully all pushers are nice & springy..... oh last but not least, a brand new case's sealant ring installed.

Thank you! Itโs definitely a great feeling bringing life back into these old watches. Pushers are all good after all the gunk got cleaned out! And youโre right I definitely need to get a new gasket for it. Old one cracked on me!
Great job! How did you get all those scratches out?
For the acrylic glass, lots of wet sanding from 400 grit all the way to 3000 it was a mess because the scratches were so deep. Actually a couple huge gouges too. Then finished it off with a wool dremel pad and various glass polishes and poly watch. As for the stainless steel, used a wool dremel pad and aggressive metal polish, and kept going over and over until the metal was burning hot damn near! Thatโs what took the most time was all the polishing for sure!
This looks inspiring! Any advice for beginners? I just bought a A159 4019 which will arrive soon. :D
Biggest thing is the lcd the glass is very fragile in the corners and can crack/chip easily. This lcd actually has a pretty big chip in the corner, but itโs just barely off one of the connectors so the LCD segment still reads fine. Also the zebra connector strips only go one way. One way facing the screen, and one way facing the board. If theyโre the wrong way youโll get missing segments on your lcd when you put the battery in! Other than that make sure u have good tweezers and small flat head screw drivers. And lots of alcohol for cleaning!
