That’s amazing ✌🏻

Thank you! I’ve done some repairing of gameboys and game consoles, but watches are another level. Very small and intricate!!

Nice job!

That looks amazing! What did you end up doing for this restoration?

Had to fully open up the watch, clean everything out the pcb was covered in battery acid/liquid damage. But it was good enough to just need a good clean, new polarizer, new battery. Had to remove all the blue paint on the dial because it was flaking off when I opened the front glass. Polished it to the bronze/copper look, gave it some clear coat, put the watch back together and it was good to go!

Yeah, I was wondering what you did with the dial. Really nice job, Cade, not only with the dial but also the PCB cleanup & repair! 🤝

Great work man. It's like you created a new color variant that never existed.

That’s how I like to look at it too man. Giving life back to something this old it’s pretty cool in my eyes! Got this one from Japan for cheap. Makes me wonder what the watch has been through this whole time!!

See for me it’s the other way around, I want to get into modding game boys but I’m kind of scared. But easy maintenance on a watch no problem 🤣

Bravo love that

With gameboys and game consoles you have a lot more space, but things are definitely more complex. Watches are just so small and intricate I constantly felt like I was gonna break something taking this one apart 😂
