Another Casio Review

I read somewhere that this Casio is a mix between the "Mission impossible" and the Casio Royale, and ever since then I have dubbed the 291H the Mission Probable. This bad boy is one of those budget casios that's almost a g shock! 5 times zones, 4 easily accessible on home screen, other dedicated TZ screen a button push away, 24hr countdown timer, stop watch, 5 alarms and hourly chime, supposedly 200 m of WR, pretty good for 50 bucks but I think I paid around 27 bucks. I might have gotten it on sale even.

The worst part of the watch is the really cheap and stiff strap. It looks like it'll fit a g shock strap or maybe some converters. I haven't tried it yet mainly because a strap change might take away from the design. The crystal is some kind of acrylic, but it feels thick and hearty. If the Mission Probable was a G Shock, I'm sure that the bezel would be raised around the crystal for protection, I had it for a while and it only has 1 small barely noticeable scratch. The radar screen looking portion shows the current time while running functions, but it's not as legible as the one on the Royale, thus not as useful. This watch is chonky! I've seen mods of this where the guts are put into the case of a Royale, which cuts down on that, but the case adds to the charm. You can still wear it as a beater for sure, it's a Casio so it'll take a lot more than you expect.

The watch looks good in pictures, but in real life it looks even better in the sun. The gold/yellow parts look good, the reds are nice and vibrant, the screen looks great! The printing on the dial is nice and sharp, letters and a chain link design on this particular one. The bezel is somehow a bit glittery, great look on that. It also lights up better than a few G Shocks I've experienced. A big watch for sure, I wanted get a "King" G shock, but that's a huge watch, this Casio kinda looks like it but a bit smaller in size and definitely in price. Maybe it won't have the cult following the Royale or the Mission Impossible have, but it's a fine watch for a reasonable price.
