How often do you see watch ads on tv?

So here I am, watching SNL, still laughing about the pongo skit during the commercial when an ad for a watch comes on. For the Sinatra Bulova collab. I cannot recall seeing any commercials on regular TV for any watches until this point. GF says swatch had tv ads in the 90s, but I don't recall those at all.

Thinking about it, who is that ad for? Maybe slightly older people, it's on SNL, from a prestigious company, featuring Frank Sinatra to some degree. I sincerely doubt the kids are clamoring for the rat pack. Or maybe for me? The little more than slightly baked (how else am I suppose to endure snl otherwise? No they're okay. A few years ago I realized that I don't like 89% of snl skits, spanning all the years of the show. Every once in a while they toss on a skit that I think is hilarious. And i like to watch musical guest. Although i was bit disappointed by Ms. Eileish last night. A christmas song, at this time of year?) millennial, who only pays attention to commercials because I find them interesting like how some people find bugs interesting, but of course I'm bringing down bugs with associating them with advertising.

Watch ads I do see outside of the internet are billboards (my fave is for Richard Mille, on a huge new school digital billboard over a huge freeway that is constantly chocked with traffic) and magazines. But even in magazines it's like normal person ads for like Rolex. I see a bit more variety in more specialized magazines, like car magazines and fashion ones.

Not alot. Only thing I've really seen lately is Tissot on TV but that's it.

I never watch TV, Youtube has replaced it completely. Just now I'm being bombarded by an ad for the Girard Perregaux Laureato Chrono which is starting to have an effect. It's a really cool piece & the music for the ad is pretty cool also.

My wife told me last night that she'd just seen a Christopher Ward ad on mainstream UK telly. It was a "You may not have heard of us....." ad. CW are certainly putting their pedal to the metal now in their efforts to increase brand recognition.

I've seen the CW and, but other than sport we save everything to the box and then skip ads.

Here in the Netherlands we had a Seiko commercial recently. Only watch commercial I have ever seen.

·

The last ones I saw were the "Don't Touch My Breil" series, and that was decades ago.

The only one I've seen on TV recently was Tissot but then I tend to rarely watch "live"TV and skip through ads.

I watch a lot of YouTube too, definitely get more watch ads on there, but I just took it as part of the almighty algorithm

Yep. I don't get anything other than watch adverts on YouTube, now that I think about it 😀
