While your sentiment is generally fair that it's inevitable mistakes will occur eventually, it doesn't feel any less frustrating when it happens to you, especially when you spend this much money on something. There is an expectation that some of these issues would be caught in an effective QC process, so falling victim to missed quality standards and having to go through the whole process of fixing it is a huge bummer. I had my Pelagos for a couple weeks before I had to ship it out for months and that definitely sucked after making my first luxury watch purchase.
My Pelagos had a tiny scratch on the hour hand that I just couldn't unsee once I noticed it. I took it to my AD to get fixed, and while the whole process was frustrating, I finally got it back with no scratches and have been able to enjoy it so much more.

I completely know what you mean. I've definitely asked myself before how much is truly different between the P39 and BB58, it definitely feels like they're approaching the same fine line lol
