Had some time before work this morning and thought I would snap a quick shot of my most recent acquisition. Love the champagne dial color that it has aged into and has the classic hippocampus on the back 😍.
What are you wearing on your wrist today?
I love it! Then again, I love Omega. Still, a lovely example. I'm wearing an ESQ from the late 90s/early 2000s today. #wruw
Really like the gold edge of the bezel and the jeweled crown on that! I have never seen an ESQ before but definitely has a cool vibe!
Thanks, @Bmaj1856! ESQ is a Movado brand. It was designed as an entry-level to Movado. This model has a Swiss movement and very sturdy construction. The original bracelet is long gone, so I replaced it with the oyster style you see in the photo. This watch is a hodgepodge of designs, but somehow Movado made it work. The original bracelet looked like a jubilee. It has a coin-edge bezel, but it doesn't rotate. Then the top of the bezel has raised pips giving it that sports/industrial vibe a la AP or Hublot. The dial has a dress watch feel with its guilloche dial and roman numerals. And like you said, the jeweled crown, just like Cartier's cabochon. Very strange but very cool.
I love this two tone vintage style of watches. I don't know this brand ESQ.
today I wear for the first time my casio duro on its new blue single nato strap. soo simple but soo nice too.
The Casio Duro is a great watch for the money. Great choice on the strap color. Matches it perfectly.
Watch enthusiast with a running problem. Based out of New England where the winters are cold and fall is colorful!
