Longines Legend Diver 39mm

I love my legend diver! No date, 39mm and a stunning bracelet. COSC certified. That's awesome. This is a quick shot with a light retouch in Photoshop. Not very special but I thought it's worth sharing. Cheers!

Love the legend diver and the fact that they finally got the size right for my wrist! If only price hadn't gotten up almost 1k, it could be a nearer future purchase!

Great shot ✅

Longines got pricier recently, that's true! They were actually too cheap before...

Yeah, the mind boggles. Why did they increase the price by 35%?

Glass half full Vs half empty I guess. For me maybe a bit milking the success of the other 39s (the hydro, the Zulu, the spirit) and testing the water of making a few more bucks. Fair play of course but increasingly hard to finance!

Can't be sure, but my opinion shared on the previous comment...

Love that they midsized this one!

·

I have always loved that watch

Incredible watch... one of the most beautiful Longines models (and that's saying a lot...)... greetings from Argentina.

Yes, that's true! Nice Polaris!

Love the strap - and the watch! Longines is my next watch purchase. Was thinking of the conquest gmt but you’ve got me thinking🙂

It’s a nicer watch, but 35% is a bit excessive for what we are getting. Way too much of an increase IMO

Congrats on that stunning piece! I hope you enjoy it daily and rock it 🤘🏻

Just two cents here from top of my mind about Longines:

The brand is doing so many right moves lately, that’s impressive!

In the not too far future I see them filling the Omega position within Swatch group as Omega is developing out of the 5-7k euro branch.

Longines will fill this slowly with new releases, making space to elevate Mido in the Swatch group portfolio. That being said, I am so happy for you to get this piece before Longines starts elevating prices over the next years. 🥰❤️

Just beautiful. Well done.

Yes, I enjoy this Longines together with the Spirit Chrono!

I think your analysis is spot on! I was surprised at first that a Majetek costs 3.5K and the new Conquest Chrono is more expensive than my Spirit Chrono, even though the Spirit has the better movement. The pricing policy for watches simply depends on how much the customer is prepared to pay.

For me this is the most beautiful dive watch.

It's a fantastic watch and one of the recent displays of how Longines have upped their game recently.

The 39mm Legend Diver is such a level up from the older 42 in finish and movement - the design is much more refined too.

That said the 42mm works better on my nearly 8" wrist. There was a no date LLD 42 on C24 yesterday - you don't see them everyday; established dealer, full set and great condition for ~ USD$1100.

I hit him up with a few questions and it was sold before they were answered! ... I was half disappointed and half relieved tbh. I really want the (less popular) Heritage Skin Diver but it was worth buying even if I only kept it for 12 months and moved it on.

Yes, the GMT is great too! Also to mention is the Spirit Zulu and the Conquest Chrono. Very classy design!

Agree that the 35 percent bump is a bit much. IMO the price increases for a lot of “luxury”brands were unjustified but the amount of micro brands that are offering some really solid stuff under 2k helps fill that old gap pretty nicely so it’s not all bad.

I wish I had thicker wrists. I often wear watches to big for me but this fits perfectly!

Having bigger wrists does open more watches up to me I guess because I'm very happy down to about 36mm. Straps can be a pain in the arse though ... there's never as much variety in long straps.

This looks great on your wrist though - and it's the one I'd rather own, but I prefer my divers a little larger and the 39mm is just a little small for my wrist, so you lucked out there!

Great watch

COSC certified, silicon balance spring, movement now updated with ETA base 2892, increased power reserve, size of original LLD. These things cost more, kids. Casio has some nice divers. Check them out.
