As a Timex only collector! My answer is a strong YES!! Growing up in the 70s, was great and these watches bring back so many fond memories and they are accessible for almost everyone. I no longer fit into my Hugapoo shirts and if I did, I might get arrested for wearing it in public.

Wow, Only A Timex Collector. I really like this GMT. Do you have a Marlin from the 70s?

Yes, I have a few but for display only. I love my 34mm reissue and have six 40 mm Marlin Peanuts watches. My next favorite are the Q's and right now I own them all except the GMTs. The problem with the older Marlins is they really are hard to find someone who will work on them and if you do, the cost is not worth it. The new Marlins are a different story, they are all using movements that are easily repaired or replaced.

The old Timex were made cheap and tough, I don't think they were supposed to be repaired.
I want a new Marlin. I like the Black Dial Gold indices with steel bracelet. Peanuts are cute.
Q is a classic. Of course Timex was my first watch.

That's correct. There are actually people who are fixing them for sentimental reasons, but the idea was that you could replace it because it was so cheap and not worry about having to fix it. All my Timex that no longer work or I bought on ebay, I just love having them as part of my decor. I'm almost done with making my mancave into an antique watch shoppe, so those Timex will live on with me forever, working or not. Here is a video on that if you are interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ivx4JNhXjFg&t=3s
I am interested. About a year before the pandemic, I watched everything on you tube on Watches/Horology. I saw this one, I enjoyed it....again. Timex is and was a great American Company.
You know what they say: "Even a broken clock is right twice a day" LOL

Love it! What's not to like about a watch that is truly accessible, that has that funky 70's styling, if you're into 70's styling?
And, by the way, I am totally into this kind of 70's styling:

I think many are into that style these days, myself included. So, companies are going back to theirs 70s and 80s catalogues.
I just hope we don't go back to that
