Mods or no mods, that's the question.

I want to get your opinions about that seiko mini tuna.

Which version do you like the best?

  1. Original
  2. 聽Slightly modified by changing the shroud
  3. Furtherly modified with shroud and bracelet.
  4. And should I try changing the bezel to a stainless one?

Feel free to say whatever on your mind. Even if you hate all of it 馃榿

This isn鈥檛 very helpful to you, I am sure: I like them all. Is the shroud change a complex process? Because if not, why not change frequently like you can with the bracelet/strap? In general, I am not a big fan of red on the bezel, so changing to a stainless one might be more to my liking, but then again, I might actually prefer another bezel insert all together (maybe all blue or two-tone blue).

Changing the shroud is 3asy, all it needs an Allen key and removing three screws. And you are absolutely right I change it quiet often to change the look.

I want to try the stainless steel bezel, but I can't seem to find one to save my life. Maybe someone can help steer me to where I can find one.

Edit: also thinking of all black or blue bezel

Stay original - love mods but the original is classic

Some mods are fun like the Fifty Five Fathoms mod and the Barakuda mod, for example

But I would keep the classics pure.

My two cents聽

Either version on the strap look great. The bracelet is awful.

Love your honesty my friend. That's why I asked for opinions 馃檹

I have the same take on modding in general. Even so for cars.

Love the idea and the tinkering but sometimes it looks kinda tacky.

In this case, the plasticy blue shroud makes the watch look cheap in my opinion.

Love your mod by the way 馃敟

I think the entire point of mods, is so you can make the watch look however you like. With this in mind, it makes no difference what we think. Do what makes you like the watch more. :)

I honestly like it original!聽

I'm quite biased and I love a steel PADI. I LOVE the look of the swapped bezel and a steel bracelet bit I would stop short or changing the bezel insert.聽

You are 100% right, but hearing what other watch lovers think and know what they like is great.聽

Different tastes lead to different opinions which can guide me to a new idea or an option I wasn't even considering.

By seeing your collection you are definitely biased 馃槀

But why would you stop short?

I have ordered 聽a steel shroud for my Arnie snj025.

I do like original watches but some just fit aftermarked parts better then others.

Your Tuna looks great and is one of the watches i think fit aftermarked parts.

Seiko is a great brand to play with!

Thank you 馃槉

I have this with the yobokies metal shroud, which I definitely prefer over the original plastic one. Most of the time I wear it on a Strapcode hexad/jubilee or PhenomeNato/ Blushark. It鈥檚 one of my top favorite watches. Like with the SKX, there鈥檚 something about this watch that makes it special, at least for me.
