I’m in the one watch per trip club these days. Security is a part of it, for sure. I think a bigger part is the romance of it. Of having an event or time connected to a watch, is a big factor for me.
Just came back from a trip for fun 8n Atlanta. I brought my Parnis sterile pilot watch, Parnis GMT, my Rolex Datejust two tone, and my Orient Manta 2. Might have brought more if I had a larger carrier.

I only bring one watch when I travel. It'd have to be on my wrist.
Couple years ago I travelled to Barcelona with 2 watches. They stole my GShock from my backpack.
After that, I only bring 1 watch when I travel.

Last holiday I took my Hamilton Murph and my Citizen chrono for evenings, and a Phoibos Eagle Ray GMT for daytime swimming etc.
