Hello world!

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am a father, husband, and passionate watch collector who has recently started dabbling in watch photography. I am based in Brisbane, Australia, and I am always happy to meet up with other like-minded collectors to discuss and share our love of watches.

A brief history of watches: the first timepieces were invented in the 16th century and were known as “clock watches.” These early watches were worn as pendants and were not very accurate. It wasn’t until the invention of the balance spring in the 17th century that watches became more reliable and accurate. Since then, watches have evolved and developed into the sophisticated timepieces we know and love today.

In addition to being useful for telling time, watches are also a great fashion statement. A watch can add a touch of sophistication and elegance to any outfit, and there are so many different styles to choose from. Whether you prefer a classic, elegant timepiece or a more modern, sporty watch, there is a watch out there to suit your personal style.

This blog will be dedicated to all things watches. I will be sharing blog posts about my collection, my photography, and the latest news and trends in the world of watches. I will also be sharing some of my own watch photography, so be sure to check back often for updates.

In the meantime, be sure to follow me on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/averagewatchdad/ to see more of my watch photography and to stay up to date on my latest posts.

Thank you for visiting my blog, and I hope you enjoy reading about my passion for watches.
