Kaaos has dropped.
We all have watches and brands that we love even if obtaining one seems remote and distant. We also have tastes that sometimes don't align with our other preferences. In this vein, I seem to have a thing for Finnish design.
I normally leave the new watch drops to @Deeperblue or @ChronoGuy, but this brand is always on my radar. S.U.F. Helsinki is Stepan Sarpaneva's "affordable" brand. They mostly do field watches and racing inspired watches. Sarpaneva's eponymous brand is more bespoke pieces. This new watch is a collaboration between these two, he collaborated with himself.
These are limited pieces that have the field watch vibe with the moon phase common in his other work. You can choose three dial colors and different moon phase indicators.
I am not situated as to where I can take advantage of this new watch drop. I would if I could. I thought that I might share.

Part of me likes that they've found a way to have a moon phase display that doesn't look all Victorian Phineas Fogg. It is sort of odd that they still put a "man in the Moon" graphic to add olde timey whimsy nonetheless.

Go check out his other stuff. That is his logo. It is on all of his merch.
It's a good looking watch, but there are a few niggles that will keep other pieces in line ahead of this one for me.
It looks stunning. I will have to look in to these.
I love the look of his designs. I'm gonna try on the Stardust when I visit this dealer in HK. Though I prefer the less colorful Nostromo version (I hope it's a nod to the movie aliens), I'm excited to see it in person.
I guess his futuristic, industrial or sometimes wacky designs (eg moomin??) Haven't caught on yet.
I received my Lunations two months ago, but I signed up for the black Kaaos as a daily wearer.
