I think it is great, not exactly for me but something different for the man or woman who has lots of variety in everything. I was surprised that my fun loving wife did not care for the dial.

Its really a hit or miss kind of thing. You either hate it or love it. I guess that's what Rolex wanted to achieve.
Doesn’t make sense to me. Why do you like it? Reminds me of The Beatles Yellow Submarine haha
Well, I've always been a fan of the concept of "Accent colors" when I got into watches I wore only black and I decided that my watches should be colorful and fun just to even things out. Until very recently I got my first black dial black bezel watch, but I have to admit, I bought it to be my designated strap monster lol just to maximize the use of color.
So, getting back to this OP, I simply like the colors. I've been lusting over a overly colorful watch but I could never settle on just one color forever and them this came out and I was immediately in love (Mom likes it too lol). I have to say, I can't afford this OP, maybe someday but as of today is a no go, but someone, somewhere, out there will make something with this in mind, either being a 1:1 homage or something with a similar vibe, whatever it it's; I'll be waiting.

I stopped at my regular multi brand ad after the new Rolex watches were launched staff are a few serious veteran watch sellers, they do not retail Rolex but carry Tudor, most of the in demand micro brands such as Journe, Moser, Ferrier guys were split mostly indifferent to the celebration dial. Joked that I might be losing it a bit if I actually like it which I do.

I think it's just a fun silly little thing, you know? Nothing serious!

The Rolex should cost as much as your AKnight(?) or even less. Now, I don't like either one. The silly-looking Rolex is supposed to be a 'fun" watch. It costs five figures. I'm not having much fun. But your silly-looking watch costs two figures, which is exactly what a watch that looks like this should cost. It's growing on me.
When this watch was released it instantly reminded me of the stainglass windows from the Avery Coonley playhouse designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
Not seeing it. It reminds me of something a fifth grader would come up with. Check out Bulova's Frank Lloyd Wright collection for some interesting dials.
For clarity I only thought it felt playful in spirit not literal in execution. And for the record I will always go with the playful honesty of a fifth grade designer over some pastiche designer named collection you’d find in an art museum gift shop.

Gotcha homie 😉🤙
Rolex not taking itself too seriously is something I can get behind.👍

A great bit of fun in a hobby we all take WAY to seriously - me included!
I have come around on it for sure, I can’t put my finger on it, probably just how different it is from everything in a really colorful way.
I think it’s the fact that something this weird, enough to make everyone go “wtf?!”, made it into Rolex production.

They're taking themselves seriously enough to charge serious $$$$ for this thing.
Yeah, I've bought one now too. 😜
