There's More to This Mako 2... Than it Meets the Eye...
Would you believe it if I told you this almost didn't become my first mechanical watch?
I was deliberating between this n another timepiece when the seller decided to lower his price to 130 bucks... It was preloved but in mint condition.
I didn't know how Orient was (n still is) grossly underrated, how deep the royal blue dial is gonna get, how mesmerising the Electrifying sunbursts will hit n how satisfying the bezel is gonna be...
Or how comfy the 22mm bracelets will feel on my wrist. So comfy that I've not even contemplated changing it. Even the bezel is shooo clickety-fun!!

I’m with you - and a fan. Being objectively critical and a bit picky … the one design flaw is that the crown is a tad on the small size but given the overall package and the pricing I forgive!

Totally agree with ya mate... The crown could be bigger but the rest of it is just pretty amazing... Saw some modded theirs witha Sapphire crystal too. 😁

I don’t rush to mod them but if I ever have to replace the crystal that’s when I would upgrade. I haven’t had any problems with mineral crystals (yet) but acrylic really is pretty hopeless (albeit replacing is inexpensive).

Agreed. I find it good enough as it is for the meantime... Heard about acrylic as well n when I heard about watches inspired by vintage watches n used acrylic claiming to be 'period correct'... 😅
