Hello there!

Howdy, folks! Andre here. I work in the analog photography products industry and have always had an appreciation for the mechanical technology of yesteryear. As a proud member of the Itty Bitty Wrist Committee, my taste in watches leans toward vintage references and their modern re-issues/re-imaginations.

When I'm not scouring the internet for the next watch to add to my growing Wish List, I enjoy documenting my loved ones on black and white film. There's a wonderful sense of ownership and true creation from shooting, developing, and darkroom printing everything myself.

I've made countless lifelong friends through the watch community, and look forward to many great conversations on this platform!

Bonjour, LN! I'm glad you appreciated name I gave to folks like us. I tried searching to see if it had ever been used, but it looks like I may have actually coined the term! Definitely looking forward to posting about some of my own watches, as well as some long form stories of my journey as a watch enthusiast. In fact, I just posted about my first visit to the F. P. Journe boutique in LA a few years ago. I hope you enjoy it!

Hey Andre! Welcome to Watchcrunch!

The One Watch Challenge has been an super fun! I'm having so much fun wearing just one watch and getting tasks done along the way.

You should try it next year. #1wc

Oh gosh, I don't think I could wear the same watch for more than a few days! The variety is part of why I enjoy collecting so much.

That's a beautiful JLC, Luke. The Polaris doesn't get enough love, from what I've seen.

Welcome Andre! I too have had a passion for photography. I have a soft spot for my all mechanical cameras, with bulk BW and color film still in the freezer. Unfortunately my dark room has remained packed up for a while. Enjoy!

Hi Dave! These days you don't need anything resembling a full dark room in order to develop your own film at home. Daylight developing tanks, digital camera scanning, film photography has entered the 21st century! Would love to chat about watches and photography via DM, but my account has to be 14 days old first. I totally understand the reasoning behind that restriction, but it's also frustrating having to wait until someone DM's me first!
