Lovely piece in mint condition. In case the movement would break some point in time don't throw it away. You should be able to find a donor watch with the same movement for cheap (the first part of the reference number is the movement type) and get a watchmaker to exchange them.
Good question and I would say without hesitation absolutely! The last addition to my collection is a vintage Seiko from 1968. A 6119-8140. At 120 € one of the cheapest but I am as happy wearing it as I am with the Rolex Explorer which is my most expensive piece. Price and luxury doesn't matter to me. There are lots of luxury pieces (actually the vast majority) that do not appeal to me even if I would have the cash as there are also a few luxury pieces that I would love but are beyond my reach. However I am not happier wearing the more expensive pieces in my collection then I am wearing the more modest ones. Value and money are two different things. Design, history, complications, technology are the criteria for me. Price only regulates what I can afford. Today I am wearing a Seiko 5719 from 1964. First chronograph made by Seiko for the Tokyo Olympic games of the same year. Cheers
Hi, just joined, curious and looking forward to exchange with watchfans.
