Islander diver came in today - really impressive case and dial!
Well, I found a great summer beater!
I bought this due to feedback that it’s a surprisingly high quality piece and comes in a lot of fun summer color - and I can 100% confirm that feedback.
The case and dial quality are extremely impressive and surprising at this price point. The bracelet is more in place at the price point (got a white rubber strap as well from islander) but the case and dial are significantly beyond what you would expect. Even the crown action is rewarding!
Overall, I have to say I’m really impressed with this piece and have definitely found a beater for this season - even if it might not get as much out of the house wrist time due to competition from other pieces (who knows though!)

That one (sea foam colour) is on my wish list at Long Island watches right now… I know it in stock but I just bought a Southhold during their Memorial Day sale so I’ll have to hope they still sell that model next year.

Yep, I expected to wear it on rubber from the get go so no love lost there. At first I wasn’t sure how much wrist time this would get but I think it will actually get a decent amount, and not just from me wearing it around the house 24/7 😂

I agree. It has a great dial and the color scheme is perfect for a summer watch. I'm not really convinced this bracelet is a good match but this is something that can be fixed rather easily.
Big congrats and I totally agree with you on the quality. 💯 I own some much more expensive watches and the Sands Point I received last week hits in the same league with those. Honestly I was close to buying this one you got today as well. Marc is really doing something pretty special imo. He’s offering higher end features for lower end $. It won’t always be this way so I would encourage others to check them out. Not because I have a hand in it, but because the value is obvious and not just perceived.
Nice. I'd leave the bezel turned 180 degrees to get the colour trainsitions going in opposite directions, but that's just me!
