My Zhufeng Collection

Exactly as the Chinese WatchWiki states:

"Zhufeng (珠峰) was a watch brand produced by Tianjin Clock & Watch Factory. Most have in house ZTZA movements, but one has a Liaoning produced ZLN that, given the pristine shape, I have no reason to presume was anything than a factory build with a contracted movement.

In the lean post quartz/post foreign watch competition years that challenged the early Chinese industry (80s to around 2000), such arrangements weren't uncommon.

The name is an abbreviation of 'Zhumulangma Feng' (珠穆朗玛峰), Chinese transliteration of 'Chomolungma', the Tibetan name for Mount Everest."

As I've mentioned before, Tianjin Clock & Watch Factory is not the Tianjin Factory that became Sea-Gull.

That noted, I've also mentioned that any Zhufeng I've ever found in good condition (and I presume most of these are late 70s/early 80s) is a good runner.

These all share a classic Vintage Chinese mechanical caseback: Zhufeng's depiction of the beautifully balanced and now iconic Horse Treads on a Flying Swallow statue, found in Gansu province in 1969.

I like the detail on the second hands, really nice, and the applied and changing logos. Great condition, that first one in particular I'd love to have in my collection.😍

Thank you. I agree about the applied logos. One cool thing about VCM collecting is that very interesting and attractive watches from lesser known factories command lower prices than names like Shanghai, Beijing or Sea-Gull. And there were lots of other factories.
