Enthusiastic collecter/hoarder of an eclectic mix of 21 watches, which is growing all the time. Whilst I appreciate a good mechanical movement I also appreciate the ease and accuracy of quartz.
I bought my Kommanderski because I always fancied a 24hr watch. That being said, I still can't read it at a glance unless I've got a good idea what the time is already!
I see Vostok as being similar to Seagull in being amazingly cheap in house automatic watches. So cheap, in fact, that they are effectively disposable.
Whilst I appreciate them for what they are I can't see me buying another one, even leaving politics aside.
I'm a great believer in wearing what you like provided, as already stated by quite a few on this post, that it's not totally inappropriate.
I'm also a great believer in the fact that, outside of our little watch nerd world, no one out there gives a damn what's on your wrist. You could wear a Casio Edifice or an insanely expensive Breguet and most people wouldn't know the difference.
If you want to wear that lovely Hamilton with a suit, do it. If you bumped into me wearing it, the only comment you'd get is "nice watch!" 😊
