Finished rebuilding my latest Ricoh. From the 1970s from what I can tell. When I got it the crystal was so badly scratched and cloudy I couldn't tell what color dial it had. It was advertised as having a brown dial. When I got it apart I was pleasantly surprised to find what might be called a "tropic" dial that was faded from its original color. Sometimes it looks black, brown, blue, purple or all of the above. I think originally it may have been a dark blue dial as there is a spot above 6 o'clock that should have the little cherry blossom emblem but it is missing and that area looks blue. I have a replacement emblem but am torn on if I should add it as I like the looks without it.

Wow this watch has serious character! Love it!
"O snap!!"Character for days Man!! I love it too 😉
That dial colour
Nice job!
Thanks all! I really like the jubilee and oyster look a like bracelets on these too. The dial is the star of this one. The fluted bezel has some wear and has some brass color showing through. Thought about replacing it but in the end figure that is part of the character too.
