Hi Crunchers! I came across this model and I cannot find much information on it except that it’s of a high accuracy quartz with a perpetual calendar function. And it comes with a very interesting name.
Case and bracelet is titanium and size is 42mm. I think there’s a smaller model as well. It’s quite a rare model.
Any Seiko experts here that can help provide some insights on this watch? Or if you have any experiences with it? Or why it’s called ‘Landrex’…😅

Great looking watch.
It’s a very bold design isn’t it.
Lovely piece mate

They're actually called Landtrek. The name, I suppose, indicating that it's not a dive watch; it's for use on land. And as a rugged sort of watch, good for adventures/treks. Hence, Landtrek.

Thanks for the clarification 😅 and also for the info on the movement
That perpetual calendar is quite fun! I wondered how you could tell what leap/year/month it was set to. It uses the hands to signal settings, in one of the crown positions.

It’s supposedly set till 2100 and it takes into acct leap years. It has to be kept running and have the battery replaced asap to keep the time and date current?
I always wondered how do you know if it’s set to the current date and if not how to set it?😅

Thanks but it’s not mine. Found it for sale on some site. But considering it😬
Mid to late 1990's it was a series that wasn't all the prevelant, kinda like the Caesar line.

Interesting… it’s actually quite interesting design in 2023! Thanks for sharing. Just not sure if my 6.5” wrist can pull it off for the 42mm

You'll be fine, IMO. I can comfortably wear that size and I'm in that ballpark.
Seiko's TI and perpetual watches are a very interesting niche.
Their SQ Perpetual diver from early 2000's is pretty cool too.
