I was wrong about my oldest watch that I’ve owned!
Happy Tuesday Crunchers! I’ve always though that ‘the watch’ that got me into watches was my Seiko SKX007, I’m wrong… I’ve had my Swatch Irony when it was first released more than 20 years ago and was so in love it. When I was going through my old stuff I saw this and remembered that I started collecting Swatches since I was a teenager when Swatch first started out.
This watch is still a stunner and surprisingly for a swatch irony, it’s a smaller model. Unfortunately the original leather strap that came with (which was stiff as hell) has disintegrated and decimal dial is not working 😅. Apart from that all the other functions are working perfectly. Changed the strap to a newer silicone strap which I think looks quite sporty. I’ve had older watches but unfortunately none of them are with me now.
So this is my oldest watching my collection that’s been with me. Whats yours?

I also found a Swatch from 20 years ago. I wear it often now and rediscovered my appreciation for the the brand. Swatch is fun !!!!

my man! i feel you! my first watch was also swatch irony, but i got very unlucky and broke the glass. I really "destroyed" them due to lack of knowledge and wick financial plan back then. I regret so much, however now, i now some rules and try to keep my watch away from cheap masters. Wish you and your watch the best, i hope they will be also there when you need them! Seeing a swatch irony is so harwarming for me🫶🏻

This was my first swatch and loved it to death wearing it when I was in high school. Not sure what happened to it along the way…
