I couldn't resist! Glashütter Uhrenbetrieb GmbH (GUB) Spezimatic from the 70s. Runs great, great condition and fresh from service. Plexiglas is a bit fiddly, but ok. 🎄

Who is German enough to tell me if Spezimatic (with a c instead of a k) is some portmanteau of specialized and automatic? I was able to look up that GDR means German Democratic Republic, aka East Germany.
