My watch journey with Farer

For years I had worn a Hamilton tank style watch. You know, when you had to know what time it was. In the early years of the century I was walking back to my apartment in New York and I noticed it had fallen off of my wrist. As I still needed to know the time ( other than looking at my cable box) I went to Macy's and bought a Timex Expedition. Years go by, I get an iPhone in 2007 and realized hey I really don't need a watch anymore and that Timex was just a utility thing anyway.

More years and now it's 2018 and my best friend points out this watch website called Farer and we both loved this greenish blue dial watch which was called a "Lander" but we were like "who the hell spends over $1000 on a watch?!" End of story, or so I thought.

In 2019 the watch bug hit me....right before the "bug" hit the world in March 2020. I bought myself a black Oris Aquis from Jomashop the week before Christmas. Absolutely loved it, until I didn't so much a few weeks later when I saw the Aquis Clean Ocean so I sold the first one and got that. Then I remembered that British watch company and I bought the Pendine which is the quartz chronograph in the first picture. Later in 2020 I got the Leven Titanium from them which is the diver you see in the second photo.

So it's been 5 years now since I saw that beautiful aqua colored dial that I that I thought was crazy expensive and have gone through all the Seikos, Tudor, Omega, Rolex etc etc I feel like I finally came a bit full circle and yesterday I bought the Lander IV from Farer...yeah they have made 3 different versions since I first saw it. Thanks for reading! ✌🏻

My everyday watch is the Lander Midnight. Still love it like the day it arrived. Good choice.

The Midnight is BACK! I actually had it in the cart, but then I was like…you wanted that green for years, so you gotta go for the OG. That black rotor on the Midnight is a very cool touch

I have a Resolute, which is a sort of Lander without GMT nor date and white dial (OK it is completely another watch lol).

Love it since day one, the case shape is fantastic.

Could easily see myself pulling the trigger on their Worldtimer too if they move the date to 6 o'clock in the future

It's called the Pendine, but I don't think they make them anymore

I think it would be pretty cool to have a Farer collection. I have one and have been considering a few others.
