I have been a watch lover since I was about 10 years old. It all started with my colorful Swatch Chrono that I was so proud of. Since then I sometimes search, research and hunt for timepiece art for m...

This is a great article about how dial colour preferences have changed each decade since 1940

Nice. Thanks for sharing this article ๐ค
Big reason why I have multiple watches ๐คทโโ
A cream, a silver white, a black, a blue, and a splash of color. It's also why I have the exact same gshock in both black and white

I think also thatโs difficult to choose a watch / dial color for every occasion. At the end it is for us a very important style item. Probably is black and white as a dial color the most versatile.
But whe I see the picture from all the crunchers I get the feeling that a lot of the members love color at least a bit color :)
What ist your most worn watch in your collection? :)
Nice. Thanks for sharing this article ๐ค
What is your personal standard color and what you most favorite popping color?!
If you donโt mind share a picture:)
My most worn is my pop of color. The others rotate through based on what I'm wearing to work and tend to all get weekly wrist time.
Has lot of good mood vibe ๐
Actually funny because you have far more โseriousโ watches in your collection

Rolex Explorer, Tudor BB58 Blue Dial, Cartier Tank... and one seafoam green on a white rubber strap for all the fun weekend times

That sounds like a proper collection:)
Do you wear mostly the popy one because of the color ?
Or because of the price point from the other watches? Or is the fit just extra ordinary good?
A little of all of it. The Cartier and the Rolex isn't going mountain biking. The Rolex might go on a light hike, but I'm more likely to wear either of the dive watches.
Plus that Islander watch fits exceptionally well. The curve of the case along with a shorter lug width on rubber makes it very comfortable all day
Can't go wrong with a black dial. Most of them will be strap monsters. Classy, elegent.
White is also a good option as it goes with everything too.
Blue dial in my opinion depends on the blue tint, the sunburst or the texture. Just to name a few, a Seiko Presage SRPE43J1 or a Tissot PRX80 are superb with blue dial, but each time I wonder, would they look better with a black or white dial instead ? I really need one, but the last 3 watches I bought was supposed to be blue, got a white panda, a black Field watch and a white Flieger instead.
I'd say the other colours can always be nice, but just not my first choice. I'd love a Oris Pointer date in green or in red, but that pale blue is wonderfull...

You right.
But some black dials are just so plain and boring that even with a nice strap the watch ist not eye catching. At least for me ๐
I really thought white and black would had to had voted. So the result surprises me to be honest.
I really see silver and champagne dials as much versatile as black & white dials. Probably a question of the category you wear. I donโt no many diver with a champagne dial ๐ or if i am wrong please correct me !

That just show that nice watch experience has not to be expensiveโฆ it could but there a lot of cheaper or cheap alternatives out there to enjoy.
Any plans to get something new for your collection:)?

I'm really very happy with my collection. When I added the Cartier it felt very rounded and complete. I'd like to add a Stowa b uhr and something in salmon/pink but I'm not itching to

Thatโs cool. Is think that point to achieve is for many Watch enthusiasts difficult.
Buying with no rush and enjoying what you already have is the right way of handling that hobby.
