A question to ponder, but given that the 6105-8110 (the Willard) was first made in 1970 and the 6306-7000 (the first JDM Turtle) was made in 1976, should we even call the Willard a Turtle...🤔

I totally 100% agree! It's because the shape of the case and I'm one them thought they are on the same family! 😅
Captain has the best A-symmetric design and crown protection. You know the watch from across the room. An awful lot of thought went into the case design.
Had a standard turtle before, but once I tried the willard on my wrist it’s a game changer. Feels better on the wrist, with smaller diameter and lug width than the regular Turtle. Immediately sold the Turtle and changed it with the green Willard.

Can’t put my finger on why I can’t get on with the Willard I’ve bought and then sold it twice now. I’ve replaced it with a king turtle this time and it’s not as good a watch as the Willard in any way really but it just seems better when I wear it 🤷♂️ it might be the strap I think it would be better at 22mm

I feel one either bonds with the Willard or donesn't. I tried the Steeldive Willard homage first and loved it - so got the real deal black dial. The King Turtle in the other hand has a lot boarder appeal with the case shape, day/date, and candy bar cyclops. Got both, but could part with the King Turtle between the two, as much as that pains me, because it's a JDM with the Japanese day/date wheel.
Yours SRP775 aka Turtle has a case size of 45mm and mine is SBDY085 aka turtle mini has a case size of 42.3mm
Cool so it's not a mini . I didn't think it was .well I can't vote then cos my fav is my model just the plain ol' turtle .I'll have to keep an eye out for the mini next time I'm in town thanks for help my friend 🙏

I had the Seiko SRPE99 PADI edition "pepsi bezel" but it's to big for my wrist but I really love the looks of turtle that's why I stumbled on these models. Anytime my friend !

Yep. I still can't believe that Seiko didn't make that watch case for decades

Aye aye captain🫡
I've not seen any of those in the metal, but I'm voting Willard. Has yours been bead-blasted? Or is it a titanium model I'm not familiar with?

Nice choice! No and no, It was a titanium mod. Still saving money for the Seiko SPB237J1. 🤞
Personally, I think the tortoise is under appreciated. It’s a very sharp piece!

Nice choice! Sorry if I was not clear. Turtle reduce! Hahaha

Slim Turtle for me - shame on you for forgetting!😉. Ideal case shape, the right hand-set & perfect size.👍

Here’s mine, with an uncle Seiko bracelet.

Some friends of mine call it pre Turtle.
Love the Willard.
Worth the extra for the diashield coating, proper tough.
Pic posted before on other threads, sorry for the repetition.
No slim turtle option?

@ExNihilo Unfortunately not. 😅

I'am a 62 Mas guy. Thanks. Skin Divers.
What model is this as I've never known it as a mini ?
And I've been into Seiko a long while now . Some one help and explain I must be missing something.
