Bit of a family heirloom

Mum was having a sort out and pulled out my Grandmothers old Omega. Its amazing how small ladies watches were. It was a bit manky with that black skank that accumulates in the corners, and not running. Anyway, I was fiddling with it and cleaning the case, and it started going! Its from the 60s, bought in Liverpool. So, chuffed with that. Nice patina on the dial, and a bevelled edge on the crystal.

Sometimes when you have a vintage watch that doesn't want to run put it on a demagnitizer. That will help a lot.

I have gotten vintage watches that won't run. I put them on it and they start running. They somehow get magnetized. That could be the reason people quit wearing them and don't know better.
