I've a similar size wrist and own a 42mm Seamaster 300m. Unlike most of the ealrier comments, it works on me and I believe it's due to the short lugs. Didn't like the looks of the bracelet though, changed to a rubber strap.

The bezel takes up quite a bit of real estate and resulted in a relatively small dial, which looks smaller than a lot of watches with smaller case diameter. Overall, it just works and looks smaller than some of my 40mm watches on my wrist.

I've seen it in person and it's really nice. The main reason I ended up buying another dial is because 556 is supposed to be a tool watch and I went with a solid colour dial instead.

Nonetheless, I'm sure that it will still be a beloved watch and able to fulfill what you've mentioned. It's a good piece, definitely worth shortlisting it!
