Yeah will take to local watch shop tmr- should be simple fix - watch repairers probably done 100s of these in their sleep.

In case anyone is interested the strap is an Uncle Seiko 19mm tropic strap - what is special about this strap is it is a short strap they make now across their tropic range 65 x 115mm.

Ouch! Hopefully an easy fix👍

Ouch! That's painful 😖

At least it lets us see how the indices are applied. Much more mundane than what I imagined.

I was convinced that they were glued with the tears of fairies.

It’s a dive watch - you’re not supposed to wear it above water. Give it a good soak and see if that helps.

·

Whacked the watch against a glass barrier entry to a supermarket. Thought nothing of it until hours later notice the watch stopped when taking a shower. The marker got stuck under the seconds hand . Gave the watch a few whacks dislodged the marker - left the watch running on the table and keeping perfect time - off to watch repairs tmr.

I know what was I thinking - everything was fine when cleaning the pool until decided to go shopping!

Exactly - you only have yourself to blame. Arm resistance under water, not air; wrong fluid, not enough drag

·

Very easy fix - don’t sweat it, they should be able to do it while you wait

·

Elmer's glue and a toothpick is what they'll use. Probably easier than removing the other two.

Regardless of the damage, I have to say: vintage skin divers just look fantastic all around! It’s a beautiful watch and I hope the repairs not too pricey

luv the skins divers, Acquastar for their model 60 skindiver brought out a green and blue dial version. Anyway my Deepstar should be an easy fix.

This is, allegedly, why Seiko uses stamped markers on their diver dials, even ones at $3-5k : ) silly, I know, but case in point nonetheless

Update: so drop the watch off to https://www.watchtech.com.au well respected watch repairer here in Sydney located in Strand Arcade one the city's historic shopping arcades. Anyway they will basically glue the hour market back in which is the easiest and simplest way to fix. Cost is A$65 approximately US$40. Get the watch back early next week since I'm not in a hurry . So wearing my Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic in the meantime. Will post pics of the Aquastar when I get back.

Back on deck and on the wrist - 12 o'clock marker back in place - Thanks Watch Tech Sydney Australia.
