Alpinist in the Midwest
It’s Monday, my watch is blue, and the ground is white. The last few weeks there have been high temps of 1-10F in the Twin Cities, but today the high is 32F. I knew I had to take advantage of the warmth and get outside with my pups.
There are no summits in this flat part of the Midwest, but the Alpinist’s build and ethos are perfect for romping around this near tundra. The last pic is a low pixelated image of a bald eagle in it’s nest, right before it took flight. But sadly I had just my old cell phone. I’ll catch the shot next time.

Spot on, it’s the SPB197 with the “Mountain Glacier” dial color. It was produced for about two years for European markets only. You could still get it in the US from a few European online stores that shipped internationally, but production ceased in August. It’s a frustrating sales model that I don’t really agree with. But the model was just so beautiful that I couldn’t resist.

Though so. We have two Miniature Schnauzers. Although they're technically different breeds, the beard is a dead give-away. Both are such smart looking dogs.
