Very true, but I see that as a good thing. they seem to hit almost every price point and feature set. So no matter what you are looking for, there is some micro brand out there making it.

I've considered eventually applying to the Veterans Watchmakers Initiative..
Should I do it, I'm prolly releasing a dive watch that has a WR of 15 meters. And then torture test it for point proving and bear poking 😂.
I believe Mr. Warhola (yes, his real last name) was a Cartier tank aficionado… I bet he would endorse a colab with Polaroid/Lou Reed and microbrand it… or maybe Swatch?
Funnily enough, designed right it might not pass "ISO" but it'd prolly be the thinnest, toughest, to watch. Especially if it used the Fine Timepiece Solutions quartz, in a HAQ or hi-beat variant, with a battery hatch on the back lol.
