Pelagos 39 or Pelagos FXD Black

As some of you may know, I am in the German army. In my last post I asked you guys what could be the perfect watch for me. Some of you guys recommended the Tudor Pelagos.

So I did some research and I fell in love with it.

I just can’t decide if I want the Pelagos 39 or the FXD Black.

Just so you know, I would put the Pelagos 39 on a NATO Strap as well.

So I need your help! Wich one do you like more?

I’ve said it before, the Pelagos 39 is the best watch Tudor makes.

But the 21mm lug width annoys me 🥲

FXD, no competition imho. Was designed for military use.....

I'm in the same pickle and cannot answer. At least I won't be spending thousands of dollars until I decide

Why not just ask the Internet to decide for you?

Seems to be the done thing.

FXD wears weird, it's really flat and wide. I'd try it on in person before buying it.

If you can wear the FXD you should probably have a look at the regular pelagos too, since they're both around the same size imo.

Great #tudor pole

So I just bought the FXD, having got the 39 last year. There are a few reasons for this. Firstly the bezel action on the FXD feels better to me, and the bezel itself has much less vertical play. Next the lume and hand colour matches better on the FXD. Finally, I think I prefer the all matte look overall.

I would vote for the Tudor Pelagos FXD. So not to chuck the Tudor Pelagos 39's titanium bracelet if you have bought it. And yup it looks like it was designed for military use. The gritier bezel teeth, minute markets all across. And you get an extra rubber strap.
