My watch for special occasions and a funny story behind it - Omega Aqua Terra 41mm
As the title tells, the Aqua Terra is the watch I wear on special occasions. The story behind this watch is a little bit freaky, some may find it funny 😅.
As I told it in my Diver 300M post, the Diver 300M was the first Omega I‘ve bought together with my wife for my 30th birthday.
The Diver is the first Omega we bought but the Aqua Terra is the first Omega I wore that year. We bought the Diver in spring (my birthday is in autumn), therefore I had to wait half a year to unpack the Diver 😅.
Meanwhile I was totally fixed by the watch topic and decided that I could not wait that six month. So I found my Aqua Terra on the used marked about 280 km away. Long story short: my wife and me jumped into the car, drove 5 hours in total and picked up my blue Aqua Terra, all more or less because I couldn‘t wait for my birthday watch. Sometimes the addiction leads to things, no one would do 😅.

We have similar tastes. Have a Diver 300M and the AT is my next big purchase. Absolutely love the watch. Elegant, sporty, versatile. Total package.

It catches scratches quite easy with all the polished surfaces on the case and bracelet. I don’t care that much about scratches but with all my divers and brushed case watches, I like wearing them more in the everyday life. For me every watch has its purpose but there are daily exceptions 😅
