Wrist v Hand

Here’s my theory.

Whether a watch looks big on you, has less (little) to do with the size of your wrist and EVERYTHING to do with the size of your hand.

It’s all about proportion.

I am 6ft 4, I have tiny wrists but big hands and I almost exclusively wear large watches.

Agree?

I agree I’m 5’7” with a 6.75 inch wrists but I have large hands for my size and muscular forearms. 39-42 is my sweet spot but 43 looks fine. Anything smaller than 38 looks very silly on me.

I would also argue that sometimes people say 40-44mm is too large but they are basing it off of a photo taken of the watch on their wrist which makes the watch look way bigger than it actually looks on the wrist.

It's a balance of wrist/hand size and shape. Flat wrists can wear larger watches than rounder wrists, and wide but short hands balance large watches better than narrow but long hands.

Same height same proportion so I’m biased 🤣

TBF (to be frank), I wear what I fancy. Big, small, and all btw.

Sometimes I'm in a rugged, tool, ABC Casio.....

Sometimes I'm in a good ol diver mood....

Sometimes I just wanna be able to use my watch as a backup blunt weapon and homage my inordinate love of the wild, wacky, WH40K universe.....

PS - y'all should join @Mr.Santana 's squid game in January, currently running @casiodean 's haunted scavenger hunt. It's fun, everyone's doin it.....🤔😉

There nothing worse that seeing lugs extend off the end of the wrist,

Case size, lug to lug, case shape, wrist size, wrist shape all play major roles

The amount of people that shrug off a watch because of case size is insane,

for example the seiko sumo is a 45mm case, the amount of people that will immediately not be interested is silly, but...

The case shape is curved, the spring bar length to length is 47mm, on a strap the sumo can be worn on very small wrist, that's the same as a 38mm hamilton khaki!

It's also why most people can wear huge gshocks, they have short lug to lug measurements
