Titanium Guilloche!
I am so lucky to own my first watch from a bespoke independent brand. I wanted something fun, with modern and traditional design cues. Enter Armand Billard and the SB05. 🙏 The case is grade 5 titanium with a matte finish. The dial is blue titanium with a fish scale guilloche pattern. The hour ring is grained titanium in natural color. The hands are blued. At 38.5mm x 8.5mm, and being titanium, the watch is very comfortable. I look forward to cherishing this for years to come!

Wow! What a beautiful watch
I've seen Billard's posting of dials being made and they are impressive. I was unaware that they were made to order, which is all the more appealing. Titanium tends to get used for ... very practical and functional designs, so this is really something different.

The watch face design reminds me of the Seiko Presage SPRE43 or the Grand Seiko SBGH267.

It's easy to get overwhelmed with the near infinite combinations of colors, materials, and finishes that are available. The ordering process was great. You interact directly with Armand, and he can offer as much or little guidance with the design as you prefer. We interfaced through email and WhatsApp. After finishing the design stage (a few times), I received 3D renders. I received periodic updates, along with additional questions of clarification. The one downside was a wait of about 2 years, a lot of which resulted from the pandemic and supply chain issues. I'm not sure what the wait is now, or if the ordering process has changed. I'd do it again either way. Hope this helped!

I won't argue the price aspect, but I still found value in the overall experience and quality of components. I can see the similarities to the Seiko and Grand Seiko dials. Love those!

I still have a lot of work to do on my wrist shot photos. The angle makes it look quite large. I also have small wrists (17cm). For reference, the lug-to-lug is 45.5mm
