Is this even a concept in the watch world?
I recently realize that my favorite watches in my collection are the Seamasters with the 1120 movement and assimilated:
The 2254.80 'Peter Blake'
The 2255.80 'Electric blue'
The 2531.80 'Bond'
The 2234.50 'GMT 50th anniversary'
I then decided to go all in and to shrink my collection to this 1120 movement (and assimilated - the GMT is the 1128). Those pieces are thin, robust, beautiful, easy to dress up and down, and still ~accessible.
I will sell my other watches (Rolex, Seiko, Alpina, Yema, Vulcain) and maybe only keep the Rolex Explorer. And then add to the one-movement collection:
The 2231.50 'Titanium'
The 2538.20 'Great White'
The 2532.80 - same as Bond but with the aluminium bezel.
I think that I will avoid the ones refering to the Americas Cup. I am just really curious to try the titanium one...
Let's see how this go! ๐ โ
Is there any other one-movement collectors here? If yes which one?
And who are the 1120 amateurs here?
Thank and enjoy your week-end as well as your watch journey overall ๐๐ป

Indeed!!
With this concept I am trying to play around the "one-watch collection" approach and to be able to say that my collection is quite limited ๐
Good point on the NH35 yes ๐๐ป
