IWC Mark XX - Simple but Gorgeous
I bought this beauty earlier last year. I went for this green dial version, as I found the green works exceptionally well with the brown color on the leather strap. This version is exclusive to the IWC Boutiques.
I like Mark XX much more than its predecessor, both in terms of its dial's design and the caliber inside. The little changes IWC made to the size and configuration of the hour markers and the Arabic numerals makes the dial, even still retaining the date window, much more balanced than the previous version. Inside the watch is a new caliber manufactured within the IWC's corporate group.
This watch can go with either casual or business casual outfits equally well.
I love watches and have been collecting inexpensive watches for over 20 years. Most are quartz watches but a few are automatic. None cost me more than C$300. Since two years ago, I started collecting...

Thank you! I also like the blue dial version with the blue leather strap, and it looks very elegant. It was a tough decision to pass on one and take up the other, but ultimately I prefer this one a bit more sporty.

The Mark line is really the only one I like from IWC. Looks great!
I mix and match the bracelet, rubber, and Santoni leather. Such a versatile piece. Mine is the 18, but a truly great everyday all occasion watch.

Thank you Brennan. In addition to Mark line, I also like the Portugieser and the Portofino lines. But there are other watches from other brands that look similar (or even superior) to the Portugieser and Portofino in styles, and those are also very prestigious brands. So, I decided to just get this pilot watch from IWC for now, as I think it is better to get quality watches from more brands than focusing on just a few brands.
Interestingly, among all the models in the Mark line, I do not like those Chronograph versions. I like simple dials and that makes the purchase relatively budget-friendly too. 😉

I like Mark XX a bit more, but just relatively speaking. If IWC did not introduce Mark XX, I would have bought Mark 18 without a second thought! The changes they made to Mark XX are really minimal.

Me personally I prefer the XVIII as the numerals stand closer to the indices what makes the dial a bit cleaner and a little less busy....but that´s really nitpicking on my side :-) you can´t go wrong with any IWC Mark model....great watch you got there, enjoy it, it´s a fantastic watch and very masculin
