[Seiko SPB155J1] Birthday present for myself!

I am so excited to finally get the watch I have been eyeing for the last couple of years. I won it in an auction on my birthday, so it also adds a great story to it. I have been wearing the watch for the last week and love it. I like how it sits on my wrist at only 38mm and the dial is a true eye-catcher with a grainy green surface. 6R35 also was also a big surprise as after a week of wearing the watch is only +10sec. Overall it's a really solid watch, and I could not be happier with this present for myself. Happy holidays!

Lovely Seiko, and a good picture! It looks like you've taken some inspiration from Watchstudies?

Getting a watch at long last that you've wanted for years is a great feeling. Enjoy it, and don't forget the feeling 🙌

Thanks! It was my first time doing watch photography and I enjoyed it a lot, will try to get some more shots in better lighting next time. I took inspiration from many creators for this shot and searched the house to see what cool stuff I could find to enhance the photo 😃

It's a great first photo! I am relatively new myself. It's harder than it looks in my experience so far 😅

Yep the size is perfect for my wrist would love to see more manufacturers switch to smaller sizes

Hi. Lovely story to go with this lovely watch.

Mine arrived last week. It's great. It struck me immediately that Seiko has made a very different watch here compared to the Alpinist proper. In fact I think the connection is tenuous. Lots of people compare this one to an Explorer - simpler all round. I agree. Then there are the distinctive touches - the dial colour, its texture, the cathedral hands, the combination of green and gold - all of which give this little thing its own feel.
