These are mythical watches that don’t really exist - something my local AD seems to support by the way they chortle when I have ask about when I might be able to get one :) oh how they did laugh…
Seriously, I’d love to spend some time with either, but they don’t exist in the world I (and many others) live in unfortunately.
I have two current line up GMTs and have to say I prefer the old style movement. It is a total PITA to set the date. I appreciate the jumping hour hand, but as someone who does not wear the same watch every day, it is so much easier to have a quick set date.
The 16700 is my grail. Aluminium bezel, and its also the thinnest GMT which makes it a good wear for small wrist. Finding the ones with Superluminova instead pf tritium is hard. Chances are is that you might actually end up with one that has loads of aftermarket parts
Yes, having to change the date can get a little frustrating - especially when you have other watches and you don’t wear the Rolex as your every day wear.

Yes, not having a lume on the 16700 is the only downside to this beautiful timepiece.

Exactly brother. If it was my only watch, no problem.

It’s a beautiful watch my friend. To have it in your hand is truly something else. 🙏🏼
