Watch Photography tips please!

Hi Crunchers, I can't seem to take decent pics of my watches for WRUW. My phone camera is definitely decent, so I know it's just me who sucks at this🤣

I started with taking close up shots which ended up abit blurry. Then I saw someone share here that they take shots normally and then crop. Any advice on how I can take better and clearer pics with my phone?

For context, I'm using a Samsung S21. Much appreciated 😃

Seems to be a natural transition from watch collecting to photography 😂. I know what you mean, I look at some of my shots and think it could be better.

Only advice I can give is try and hold the phone as still as possible. But looking at my WRUW you're probably safe to ignore me 😁

Kinda the same concept as shooting a firearm. If not getting the shots on target needed, use a barricade, rest, bench, tripod, whatever 😂.

Steady hands or a tripod works wonders as does cropping.

Rest the camera or your hand on a table or close to your body.

Getting too close to the subject messes up the autofocus. .

Yea getting close was a bad idea

So this isn't helpful at all but... My old OnePlus took great watch shots that I could easily crop and keep detail.

I have the s23 now and I really struggle... For a supposedly "good" camera every time I crop an image it's blurry. So perhaps it's not you!

Don’t use this app to take it, take pic in native app and post from your roll, much clearer
