Is the Ssk003 too similar to the Srpd51?

For context, I alr own the srpd51 (left). I am considering the ssk003 as its about 70 bucks off retail.

Those two watches couldn't be more different, one is bluer than the other, one is a diver style and the other is a GMT, the only thing they are similar is that they are both Seiko 5

In my opinion and through my eyes these Seiko series looks very similar to the founding Father SKX. That's why I haven't bought one or unfortunately any of Marc's Long Islanders. I have way too many Seikos and dive watches that resembles them.

Do YOU man! The heart loves what it wants to live and the beauty is in the eyes and heart of the beholder brother 🍻🤙🏽

Unless if you LOVE blue 💙💙, I’d opt for a varied size or color to expand the breath & depth of your collection

I had similar concerns when I found a great deal on a SRPD91 after I’d had my SSK003 for a while.

The hardlex in the SAK003 bezel makes it stand out. The SSK dial has a more prominent sunburst as the SRPD is more matte. Day/date vs date-only with cyclops. There’s plenty to distinguish them. I don’t regret having both at all. 👍🏻

Don't buy a watch just because it's a good deal. Especially when said watch shares 90% resemblance and parts as the one you already have. That's way too redundant.

That’s up to you. If you don’t want to overlap, then I suggest going for a different colorway, but if you like blue and want a blue GMT then the SSK003 is a good pick.
