Holiday watch selection - what would you pick?

I'm off travelling again, first to a wedding in Wales where i'm the Best Man, then to Tenerife for a week, 14 days total.

I have space for 3 in the watch roll, and 1 on the wrist. I think i've decided to go for the following:

  • Farer Lander (an "Office" GMT) - Blue dial will go well with the wedding attire. Bracelet or a blue leather strap.

  • Spinnaker Boettger - The only diver I own, and great for a beach day or a water park. Maybe on the matching yellow rubber strap.

  • Chris Ward Worldglow - I'm travelling, so there's gotta be a worldtimer in there, right? Mesh bracelet or, like the Zulu Time below, green canvas or tan leather straps.

But how to pick the fourth watch? Do I take the Longines Zulu Time, it's a "Traveller" GMT, 100m WR and I can put it on the bracelet, a green canvas or a tan leather strap depending on how I want to wear it.

Or do I take the Longines Master Collection, also a "traveller" GMT and looks dressier than the Zulu, but only 30m WR and no strap choices.

Then I could also substitue both of those for something fun like the Mr Jones Beam Me Up, or one of my three Moonswatches (Earth, Jupiter Pluto) or the Munich Special Swatch to go even more unnoticed!

Tell me, from these ten, what four would you take?

I would choose the Farer, two Longines, and the CW. Should be enough for any occasion you may find.

Too hard to choose; I would get a bigger watch roll, if space considerations are not #1. Maybe it’s just me, but I have fun picking out my watch right before. 😁

The four GMTs, and my four favourites. A solid shout, and I have taken my Zulu Time snorkelling, so I know it copes with the water.

Tricky, isn't it! If I could take all ten...

I completely understand. My usual dilemma when packing: how many watches to take?; which travel case to take?. It makes for interesting negotiations with myself.😂

Glad I guessed correctly 😂

Just the Farer. It’s a perfect opportunity for a bonding experience!

I like bringing 2 watches when traveling and would personally just take the farer and a diver. One nice watch that dresses up and one that’s at home in sandy/wet conditions. Maybe bring an extra strap or two for the Farer.

The Longines Zulu Time has to go with you :)

I've been wearing the Farer for the last 7 days (see my post here). It needs no more bonding, I bloody love it!
