Four watches, four weeks: trying something a little different.

A couple of months ago, I raised a poll asking how often people rotate through their watches. The results, shown below, show that on the whole people swap watches daily. This is true for myself too.

I've been thinking about this, probably far more that would be considered normal, and i've decided i'm going to try something different, just for a short time and just to see how I like it.

For four weeks (28 days) in August, I shall only wear one watch per week. I start the month just in work as normal, then I have a long weekend on holiday in Switzerland, followed by a long weekend in the UK for a stag do, followed by another week in work.

I've chosen the four watches for the four weeks somewhat based on my activities and i'll change over every Wednesday. This is not a attempt to see if I want to slim down the number of watches I own, more to see how I like wearing a piece for 7 consecutive days, does it lead me to notice facets I don’t normally for example.

I might stick a post up at the end of each week to summarise my thoughts, if I can think of anything profound enough to share, that is.

Anyway, without further ado: the four watches: Longines Spirit Zulu Time. Spinnaker Boettger. Longines Master Collection. Farer Lander.

I'd love to hear your thoughts, maybe this is something you'd like to try, or perhaps you can't think of anything worse. Either way, let me know below!

I like this take. It really helps sort out which Watch works west.

I usually wear a different watch every few hours, I bring a roll with me everywhere just so I can change up my style on the fly

I tried to wear one watch for a month. Didn’t make it. Got to day 19 and it was all over. I bow my head in shame and will never try this again ever! I promise!

There got that if my chest.

I feel much better now !

Really I do.

I’ve taken to rotating 2 for 3-4 days (one for work / out the house, one for home / bash around). That’s the absolute best I can do, sorry 😅
