Straps swaps - my favourites

We all know that once the watch collecting addiction kicks in, there is a secondary addiction that comes with it........ STRAPS!

I love a nice strap. I love the quest of finding an alternative strap to pair with my latest watch. It's a never ending search for perfection. I can't claim to be particularly adventurous, some would say I'm predictable & a bit boring. Nevertheless I do feel the right combination of watch & strap breathes new life into a watch, or simply gives the watch a more unique look.

Here are some of my favourites;

Just a very simple leather strap that matches the hands of the Alpinist nicely.

Again a nice match for the Desert Sky's sub dial.

This rubber strap is such a striking vibrant colour that it always gets a great reaction on here paired with any number of my watches. The colour is pretty new to the market & a great buy at £20.

This Molequin Blue Dawn leather is perfect for giving a bit of colour to this Nomos Tangente.

This dark brown leather strap is beautiful with my Horage Omnium, especially when you see what it replaced;

A great pic of the dial but the bracelet really doesn't appeal to me at all.

This watch came with a gold NATO which is actually the only NATO I wear. I wear it with a Grand Seiko I have. You could say it's a bit boring but I really like this watch on this leather strap.

Lastly;

A very dull & boring greay rubber strap....but I love grey. The only annoying thing about this alternative is that there's a slight gap at the lugs which requires messing around with to get it right.

I know there will be plenty of you out there continually messing around with your watch/strap combos. Let's see some of your favourites 👍

ps the header pic is a Molequin strap on the CW Atoll Shark White dial.

Are CW watches as good as the reviews say? I’m looking at a sub £1000 watch for travelling. Thx

You won't be disappointed. The fit and finish is up with the more established brands. Apart from the twelve they have their own design language so are safe to take any where and will still get a nod from the enthusiast

Thx I’m looking at a c60 atoll in reef blue. Think it would make a great travel / summer watch

Great stuff. I can imagine having just a few watches and many, many straps to dress them up or down.

I concur with the @Watch9 for the sub £1,000 price range CW watches are great value. The Atoll is a great looking watch, the finishing is excellent.
