Pepsi Chronograph vs. Panda Chronograph

Finally found the chronograph that fits all my criteria! 42.8mm case for my 7" wrist seems large tho, and this is maybe the only downside to it. But a reputable Japanese brand with 200mtrs WR, Sapphire Crystal, in-house solar movt., AND most bang-for-the-buck sub-300$ divers watch in my opinion, the Orient Mako 3 chronograph stands above all.

But I just cant decide, which color way to choose. I initially wanted to get the panda, similar to Seiko Prospex's Speedtimer(which is twice as expensive as Orient's, btw), but after watching Dave's review of the watch(https://youtu.be/lwgB-N8MjYk?si=_VUQJ_gXMHrFEA8g) featuring its Pepsi variant, I am now torn between the two.

There are only two things that I consider as my determining factors:

1. Interchangeability of straps from steal bands, to leather, to NATOs, which one is more versatile in your opinion; and

2. Uniqueness - I simply want to stand out, hence my sudden diversion to the pepsi since I know a lot wearing the white panda.

But I am also aware that there are those who wear and prefer Pepsis, I may not just been able to come across one.

I was eyeing this a while back, I would totally go for the pepsi

I would go with the Pepsi dial, looks more legible to me.

Pepsi fan here, but I'm also looking for a panda. For me, Pepsi feels fun and colors pop. Any color strap goes, and rubber/nato/bracelet. I like the Panda, for totally different reasons, to me it's more "serious" watch, with greater legacy associated with those colors. You should try on both, they are so different you'll know which is right for you.

I honestly wanted to avoid the idea of buying both, lol. Because I really have the tendency to do that. 🥲

I had not noticed this. Thanks for factoring this one.

Any particular reason why Pepsi over Panda in your opinion?

Thank you for the votes. Keep them coming. For the meantime, let me put this here too. As I was looking for photos of these watches in Pinterest, I came across this. Initially thought that this is the Mako3 diver that I'm wanting to buy til I noticed the 10bar on the dial.

Posting this here too to visualize the "strap-ability" of the Panda Dial, and to recognize the growing number of votes in her favor.

Can anybody recognize what model this is? Thinking about buying the Pepsi diver and this model's Panda. 🥲

I can hear my wallet crying now.

I would get the Pepsi as I see it as the most versatile with different straps and colors. Either way, you can’t go wrong with an Orient chronograph.

Another argument for Pepsi, it's more in keeping with the style of "diver-chronograph". This Panda does not have a tachymeter bezel, which is associated with the Seiko speedtimer, tracing back to the Daytona. If you want Panda, I'd save up for the Seiko Speedtimer. Unless that is all you are interested is the colour scheme. Again, always try them on.

I just like the colors, black and white is too plain for my taste
