Dunno what he said but the first mistake is listening to you tubers. Most are just talking about hype products to get the likes and views. Most just repeat what other YouTubers are saying.

Gonna have to disagree with you there.

Gonna have to disagree with you there.

I feel like their is a lot of redundancy across Watch YouTubers, at least the ones feeding into my feed. Yesterday 5 different videos popped up on my feed about the BB54. I love Tudor, but too much is too much. I punch in a search for Zenith pilot and barely see anything.

YouTubers want views, and I think they’re mainly pushing popular watches.

Don’t get me wrong, there are some good YouTubers I enjoy watching, Teddy being one of them but rarely do I see coverage on watches not all over social media.

Just my two cents.

I enjoy some of the YouTubers and do learn about new brands and releases from them. However big grain of salt in trusting them for definitive information. So, mostly fun. Teddy is good in producing informative stuff. His beginner videos are basic, but they should be. I’m actually glad his commercial pitches for the watches he sells are now pretty transparent.

Yes. Teddy is the man, though. He is genuinely an amazing watch enthusiast.

My son in law has a client who is a medical doctor in another province a huge Teddy fan but I suspect the MD’s father knows a fair bit about watches based on the models he owns and even shares with his son. I have looked in on Teddy’s videos and they are ok, I don’t think the man is going to service any of the watches that he talks about and neither am I. I think that I ruffled a few egos when I told my son in law that having collected watches for a long time that I would follow my own ideas about the hobby. The young guy said that my long years did not make me more knowledgeable than Teddy B. True but does not make me dumber either!
