All Of My Solar Soakers In The Florida Sun 馃尀

Hi Crunchers! I hope that your weekend has been great to you (and your wallet.) I decided to put all of my Eco-Drive watches, my Seiko Solar "Arnie " and my 50 Phantoms as well. Yes, I know that the 50 Phantoms is not a solar powered watch but ghosts need some sun once in a while 馃懟

Evening's coming soon so all of these watches will go back into the watch case.

Now go take care of that hangover 馃ゴ馃あ馃ぃ

No. The Spinnaker is not solar but with the way that it is lumed by all of those ghosts on the dial, I just decided to put it out there for the hell of it馃槣

Good morning @tentotwo Okay, I went on a later than usual walk for about 30-40 minutes with my Pepsi Arnie and I came into my room and I snapped the photo I have attached. With the Spinnaker, since it was in a watch case all night, I had to put it under a desktop LED lamp for about 10 minutes and I took a pic and it came out a little clearer since I put it on the armrest of a recliner.

The dial on the Arnie, at least to me, is more sensitive and it keeps the lume going on for longer. The Spinnaker's lume, even with all of those ghosts on the dial may be brighter, but you have to give it more exposure time to a light source for those ghosts to be fully lumed. I need to time how long the lume lasts on both watches though.

Also, the "Arnie" is a true diver's watch. It has a water depth rating of 200m and the Spinnaker has 150 meters BUT, I wouldn't take a Spinnaker 50 Phantoms diving. That's just me. The "Arnie" has a more legible dial.

So, with that said, I give the "Arnie" a score of 8.5, and the Spinnaker a rating of 9.5 and that's just because it has more lume to give off with all of the ghosts on the dial. If that is what you where looking for. Also, the "Arnie" bezel doesn't have lume like the Spinnaker does.

If you have any other questions, ask away!馃槈

Thanks Eric, I love both those watches. Your Arnie with that Pepsi bezel stands out. The Spinnaker fascinated me in particular for the dial design and then once the lights go out, wow, very special. I had the opportunity to purchase that watch a few weeks ago and was too indecisive. Now seeing yours again, maybe I should have acted.

I purchased a divers Spinnaker a few years ago. The Amalfi SP-5074-11, which is as tough as nails and also has this very strong lume. I like what the brand is doing.

Thanks again Eric and have a great day 馃榾

Haha. I do this too sometimes. Usually bring several of them out onto the pool patio.

Good morning @tentotwo! That Spinnaker looks great! As far as missing out on the Spinnaker 50 Phantoms, you will be able to get it. You just have to keep your eyes peeled and look everywhere and it will certainly come up. I bought mine from a guy in Reditt of all places馃槣

You're welcome and have a great day!馃槑
