Timex Q bracelets

Is there a possibility to purchase the Timex Q series bracelets separately? I ordered a Q Chronograph with the leather band, but I’m also interested in a bracelet to swap. I know some Casio bracelets are alternatives to the official corner notched bracelets but the Casio branding and the entry level quality makes me considering the official bracelets. Unfortunately I can’t find any sources for purchase, does that mean that it’s not available to buy?

On that one I’d go aftermarket anyway…the OEM bracelets are notorious for acting as a rather painful substitute for Nair shampoo.

Yes but there is not an aftermarket specifically for the Timex Q series. More like random bracelets that might fit okay.

It should just be a matter of a lug width measurement -- any 18mm lug width bracelet with a straight end should be fine, especially given that the springbars are shrouded by the case.

Did you contact Timex???

They do sell bracelets.

For me the bracelet has to be corner notched. Otherwise the optical weight of the case is too much.

There are no options for corner notched bracelets on the website / Amazon. The Q series uses notched ones to perfectly fit the case. I’m not sure they can help if it is not sold via official platforms.

Doesn't hurt to ask.

I second this. I purchased the Timex Q GMT quartz watch. And found that the bracelet is shockingly comfortable. Even more than my Monta Noble. Yes, it feels cheaper than the Monta yet feels so good on the wrist. Yeah, call me crazy.

I have the Q chronograph with the bracelet, it's a bit brutal, no micro adjust so it's hard to get just right. Also the q chronograph straps are 18mm but they expand to 20mm almost immediately so using other straps might look a little silly. It's funny because I want the opposite, 18mm leather strap that tapers into 20mm. I'm hoping Timex will make them more readily available in the future.

Got my anwser from a Reddit user, who contacted Timex. No luck, you’ll need to send in the watch in order to replace bands (I assume for warranty replacements mainly)

Yeah, you’ll need corner notched bands. A lot of owners are putting Casio A168 bands/bracelets onto Q watches as it has the 18/20mm specs. Look around there maybe.

For cheap options, go for bracelets designed for Casio A158/A168.

For more expensive (but best) option, buy two jubilee bracelets with straight/flat endlinks, one 18mm and one 20mm or 22mm. Put the smaller endlinks on the larger bracelet. Use the 18mm bracelet with an after-market curved endlinks (they sell the curved endlinks, flat endlinks aren't available separately, AFAIk) on another watch. Problem solved.
