My dad’s watches
I had mentioned on a comment here about a Mickey watch. I asked my dad to bring it when he came over today. He surprised me by giving me all of his watches, except one. ❤️
The Mickey holds a special place in my heart. I’m a Disney-phile and always loved this Citizen. I remember when he got it in the 80’s I think. My mom put a gold bracelet on it a while back. I can’t wait to get a battery in it and clean it up.
The Hamilton was a present from Dow Chemical to my grandfather for “35 years of loyal service”. It’s dated 4/19/26 when he started working there. I assume this is a 1961 or somewhere in there model.
All of these have a story behind them. I will post more as they get refurbished or cleaned and I try them on!

I am taking it to get serviced soon. I had never seen this and didn't know about it. My dad was excited when he learned about my interest (obsession) with watches. He wanted me to have it.
The Hamilton is classic but that Mickey Mouse Seiko is pro ably my favorite. That strap is neat. Cool collection.
The Yema is a good one too. I think a model from that line (the ana digi one) was taken into space.

I know there is a story there. I plan on getting each one serviced and will do a post on my connection to it and the watch's history.
